Character Information

General
Canon Source: Supernatural
Canon Format: Television
Character's Name: Ash
Character's Age: Roughly in his early to mid twenties given canon hints and the age of the actor in question. He's definitely no younger than Sam and no older than Dean. No canonic age is given.
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played.

What form will your character's NV take? A really pimp ass laptop like the one he'd built in both the garrison and at the road house.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: None other than an insane IQ and moves like Jagger.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? His ability to manipulate metal would orient more toward small to medium sized things. He would be able to make coins levitate, expand and twist chains and chain link, and put the talent forward toward technology like his laptop or the common cellular device. Using them with his mind or turning them off and on with the abilities he has at hand.

He wouldn’t be able to do much more than this, however. Ash despite being head strong and determined would be frightened if his talents extended toward something more diabolical like lifting vehicles or turning the earth off of its axis. Hunters don’t do too well with paranormal skills like that and as canon shows if it is a possibility it’s looked at as something off setting and wrong and therefore swept under the rug for the benefit of the person that wields them.

If stressed or upset this ability would be more likely to go haywire and bother Ash in annoying and somewhat comical ways like needles or cutlery flying at him or becoming magnetic himself.

I’d like this ability to stay dormant for the benefit of his psyche but provided a good plot or event comes along the likelihood of exploring it is high!
Weapons: None.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: Clowns?? What the--
Point in Canon: 5x16 (Darkside of the Moon) Just after helping Dean and Sam escape Zachariah.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: N/A

Character Personality:
Voted most likely to get kicked out of MIT Ash accomplished that goal with flying colors. He left the esteemed school because he wasn’t allowed to attend class drunk or drink on campus and incorporated this into his next line of business which would be working with hunters and helping them find their marks through technological means. He plays the technical side when really he was expelled for fighting, but he has no problem announcing this to you. He’d find their guy if they’d purchase him booze, it was a brilliant plan formed by a brilliant man. His home at the road house was supported by both Ellen and Jo Harvelle, they gave him a room and left him in command when all others were gone. He accepted the responsibility because of the perks and never looked back.

Ash is pretty sarcastic and indignant; rough around the edges. He eludes people away from just how sweet and easy going he is with curse words, a tone of disbelief, and an incredulous sense of humor that gets him into more trouble than he’s fully willing to put up with being as calmed and lazy by nature as he’s known for being. He’s always had a knack for speaking his mind, sticking it to the man, and stating with no subtlety how he feels about something. It’s a trait most warm up to after accepting him and few put up with when they’re the type to judge first and ask questions later. That being said, those people could never take him for his worth because when you look at him it’s very easy to fall to your own bias when someone else is insistent upon him being a genius.

He’s also very loyal, he knows to ask questions first and shoot later and wants to believe the best in people and the world. He’ll do anything for friends and will go to great lengths to assure their safety and sanity which is probably why he never made it out of the Roadhouse fire in 2006.

He gives a lot to his playboys and his slovenly habits and that much is obvious with how he’s titled himself, “Dr. Badass,” and keeps a board on his door to let people know whether or not he’s preoccupied with someone of the fairer sex. He doesn’t let the fact that he’s a bean pole or his looks get the better of him and is still confident, facetious, and magnanimous no matter who you are. He’s a compliment to the women’s hunting duo and has always done his best to do right by them and by friends of them even when odds are against him.

His work ethic is also a fair attribute of his. You can’t have the skills he does when it comes to computers if you’re not patient and perceptive and he’s both. He puts effort into his work for weeks at a time to help those in need. While it can sometimes be a recreational pursuit his willingness to learn and experience new things through his technical assets helps him hone his crafts and stay current with technology while still learning as he goes. This shows his strength of character as well as his resolve to do good. He's fluent in Enochian when most people outside of angels don't understand it. It being a dead language makes his knack for it all the more special. While in the Garrison Ash used the basics of string theory to keep tabs on all the separate heavens with his skills and the system that came with him. It's how he was so easily able to find Sam and Dean and just another testament of how intuitive and hardworking he really is. He always has to be ahead of the game, and never having really fit in anywhere outside of Ellen and Jo's stead he's gone back to the basics. He's determined to make his own way.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: N/A. He'll be fresh to this game.
Character Plans: I'd really like to find more depth in a character I feel was robbed from the viewers and from the series. He's a great guy, altruistic, and given the ability I know he'd really thrive in a setting where he can help his friends both new and old.

Appearance/PB: Ash is short for a guy and built like a twig. Most commonly found in shirts with the sleeves cut off and jeans with holes in them over boots it's not a wonder that most discredit him when they first look at him. That's not even the tip of the iceberg, to top off his cliche'd look of southern hospitality he also has a burnt cedar colored mullet and side burns. He looks like he should be an extra on the Dukes of Hazzard not a computer genius.

Play by is Chad Lindberg.

Writing Samples

First Person Sample
What the-- [He’ll just stop himself before finishing that.]

Well, hell… This isn’t the big house, not that I’m complaining… is this resurrection or am I smack dab in someone else’s paradise? [He sounds just as confused as he is mixed in with a little sarcastic fortitude.]

Which way back to the Roadhouse and I’m not calling all angels. Train is gay.

Third Person Sample
He had fallen asleep on the old wooden desk that was pushed up against the wall in the road house but when he woke with a start and inhaled a wafting breath of dirt he realized this wasn’t the case. Ash sputtered and found all fours, hacking until the stale taste of earth left his throat. Gross.

He knew this wasn’t right. It hit him once he was fully capable of cognizance and so did his hang over. A hand hit the side of his head, rattling his brain, and he winced. “Ah, hell…” This wasn’t good. He scanned what could only be a baseball diamond. Who’s heaven was this and who the hell generated it? This wasn’t on his systematic collaboration of the garrison.

“Don’t think I’m in Kansas anymore,” he picked up the nearest thing to him to use as self defense. It turned out to be an old decaying wooden plank. Ironically he held it like a baseball bat. Inching toward the exit of the field where he could see the shadows of something moving around.

It was like the damn big house had dropped him in Doom, a video game he played when he wasn’t looking up intel for other hunters or saving Dean and Sam’s ass. He sighed, swinging the plywood as soon as he made it out of the threshold of the fence and hitting a soldier that was heavily armed.

He looked human. “Woah, man, I’m sorry!” His face was apologetic but the corners of his mouth were tilted upward in amusement. “Do you accept apologies because all I have on me is a half eaten Twix and a few bucks. You can have ‘em if it means I get to walk away sans the cuffs but I really can’t do time…” He sighs. “I don’t even know where I am, n’ I gotta get back home. Pam’s waitin’ for me.”

As if the soldier cared but maybe he'd get some more information out of him this way. Playing the victim wasn't just a falsetto act right now he really had no idea where he'd wound up.
